Podcasts

Podcasts are a great way to reach a new audience. Right now they are super popular and because you are already doing video recording podcasts can be cut right out of your videos and loaded as a podcast. Very little time and work are needed to take your video audio and turn it into a podcast. 

To have a successful podcast you need to make sure you have good sound quality. People are typically listening to these podcasts in their cars or headphones so quality is important. At all the churches I have ever attended, they are using a soundboard with microphones and speakers. The best way to pull quality sound is going to be to tap into this soundboard for your recordings. What we do is run a 3.5mm cable from the soundboard to the camera. This is a huge advantage because the sound being used by the video is going to be of great quality. I then cut the video I want to turn into a podcast and pull the audio from it using VLC player.

You may also want to consider providing other types of podcasts. Do interviews with members and pastors and get information about them and their opinion on important matters. What they do for the church. Why they love the church and who others should try and attend. More content means more followers. More followers mean spreading God’s word to more people.
